Listing day circuit
Listing-day circuits are NSE/BSE price bands that can apply when a newly listed IPO stock begins trading.
Under the SEBI and exchange IPO listing framework, NSE and BSE may apply special first-day price bands.
Those bands can differ from the stock’s later surveillance-based dynamic band.
If the stock hits the band, trading continues only within the allowed range for that session.
Subsequent days usually revert to the regular price-band and circuit-limits framework.
