Lower circuit

A lower circuit is when a stock trades at the lower end of its NSE/BSE price band for the session.

Hitting the floor of the exchange price band means sells cannot clear below that limit for the session.

Sellers may be unable to exit if there are no buyers at the circuit price.

Mirror of the upper-circuit case; full band mechanics sit under circuit limits and price band.

Trade-to-trade stocks can still hit lower circuits despite delivery-only settlement.
